Hey ! Bloom can sure generate some plant mass. Here's what I'd do re pruning.
-
top off the top six inches of plant. Everything but the flowers, and keep it pruned to that level.
-
prune about 50% of the plant mass cluttering up the middle. Mostly, take out leaves and suckers that are all tied up in knot in there. It will feel strange, but your plant doesn't need all those leaves and it won't hurt a thing to remove them.
-
trim the bottom third back to just the stems or main branches.
Right now, all that plant mass is acting like a giant wick and moving i bet a gallon a day of moisture out of your reservoir. Everything will be happy with less plant mass in there. Keep the fruit, but prune back the bigger leaves and suckers. If you don't know what I mean by suckers, I can post something on that as well. Right now the main job is turning those flowers into tomatoes and getting them ripe!

I am looking for some trimming advice. I have a very full cabinet with lots of flowers. Should I continue to trim the top to keep the leaves off the ceiling?
-
WOW!! Those look amazing!
-
Big. Juicy. Delicious. Beefy.
-
That looks magnificent!
-
Yup!
Sorry, I have been living out of canoe for the last week :)
The plant is doing great, but been working through some nutrient issues with PPM sensor getting hung up.
We enjoyed our first 'mater today for lunch.

Anything turning red?

@northern_dweller How is your plant doing? Harvest any tomatoes yet?

Great job on the pruning and congrats on the first set of fruit!

That's getting pretty fun. I have highlighted the leaves I'd remove. The leaves in the middle don't do much for growth (low light) so removing them is beneficial. I'd also cut all the suckers in the middle that don't have room to grow.

Day 52
-
Day 45- post trimming. Not sure if I should be more aggressive with the trimming in the mid section at this point. She is currently growing upward at a rapid pace. I trimmed a lot of leaves from the lower bit.
-
Day 45 today. Thanks for the advice, I was actually just going to ask about trimming advice. I will check out the thread that you referenced.
Yes, the humidity has been pretty high. I have noticed some condensation, especially where the leaves contact the glass.
-
Huge! What day/stage is it? I'd give it a big haircut soon to help mitigate the humidity levels in the unit and allow more light into some of the dense spots.
See @pg13's Beefsteak tomato grow journey for some great pruning advice if you need it and don't be afraid to ask questions on here either!
