Blueberry Banana Sherbert
-
I started a new experiment from six seeds to see if I could determine sex by flowering when a few inches tall and then throw it back into veg. But by the time they showed sex, and given the way the bloom grows, it is time to just continue on with flower and see if I can keep it right sized.
It's a girl!
It's a boy!
I'll now cut out the males, put it back into the single pod deck and grow it out. More photos coming.
If you think I've made an error in sexing these, let me know quick!

@Gr0w3r That nug is huge!! Amazing, and a great harvest overall, nice grow!!

11.72 ounce harvest (dry weight at 60%)!!! Who will be the first to get to a pound? I’ve attached photos. On the truly bizarre, I now don’t have enough half gallon ball jars to store the harvest. I had to use a Rubbermaid bin!

Took six days to dry to about 65%. Trimming it slowly. Below is just one of about 10 colas this big (this is medium sized — almost 2 ounces).

Cut and hung

@Gr0w3r, holy WOW that is incredible!! I'd upvote you twice if I could!
Very impressive, not just because of the size of the bud but it looks beautiful too. It came out amazing, great job and congratulations!
CHEERS!

@henhennesy here you go! Harvesting this weekend.

@Gr0w3r, looking so good! You'll have to do a shot with your hand or something for a size comparison of those buds! I think you can harvest anytime you want at this point.
Do you have a little magnifying glass so you can look at the trichomes? You can look to see if most of them are clear, translucent/cloudy, or amber. You probably already know this but you usually want to harvest when the majority of the trichomes are cloudy. However, if you like the indica experience you can let the plant go longer until most of the trichomes are amber color.
Cheers to an excellent grow, enjoy it!!!

Is she ready? 10 inch buds! Thick as a bat. Is it time?
-
@Harvester They have stopped growing up. Because I flipped to flower so early they will finish in bloom!
-
Those are some thick, hefty buds! They are probably going to grow into the ceiling unless you restrict growth. I had the same issue and used the trellis :-)

Beautiful!!

So about a month after I cut out the males and I have these monster buds - some up to 11 inches tall and thick and heavy. I think the secret was flipping to “transition to bloom” at two weeks old. It kept the growth contained and active pruning helped. Amazing. I think I’ll also be seed to harvest in 90 days, which is really fast as well.
