    • Need new pump - where to get one?

      D

I'm throwing this out to the group for help. Anyone have any ideas on where to turn for new pumps? I need a new one for the mixing pump.

    • Control panel froze, lights stayed on all night

      O

I checked on my grow this morning, and I noticed the time on the display said 4pm. I tried interacting with the control panel but I couldn't push any buttons - it was unresponsive no matter where I pushed.

I had to cycle boot the machine. This happened several times during my first grow and it really messed up my grow because it impacts the ability of the unit to follow the correct light schedule.

Is anyone working on getting this resolved? @BloomCS

    • All recipes showing a length of grow = 0

      D

Hello! I am trying to start a new grow, but am unable to download a recipe from the forum (trying to use the 'Autoflower Sativa' posted by Gr0w3r -- it shows as being downloaded on the unit but there is no recipe behind it). I've also tried entering the parameters from scratch and it does not save. Every recipe other than the sample recipes (I selected the 'Beefsteak Tomato recipe and that works) have a grow time of 0 (zero). System seems to be running fine. I reset/rebooted to no avail. Any ideas on next steps?

      B

      Hello BLOOMers!

As I'm sure many of you have noticed, we are seeing some data issues between our BLOOMs and the cloud. This can impact recipe upload and download and limit what you can see from the APP, but should not impact the day to day running of your BLOOM garden.

Most of our BLOOM cloud development had been done with trusted long term partners in the Ukraine, Belarus and other countries now impacted by the crisis in the Ukraine. For security reasons, we ended relationships with contractors in those areas and are working hard to build expertise in safer zones. BLOOM is complex however, and so far we have not been able to move fast enough to keep all the wheels on all the time. We sincerely believe we will have this resolved soon, and thank you for your patience.

We are sorry for any frustration this downtime causes. We wanted to make sure you knew that we are aware of the issue, and let you know that we are working to get these issues resolved as soon as possible. If you have any other questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to reach out.

Day 40. Another mega prune. You can see in these photos that I trimmed back all the cola's that weren't as mature, and just really cleaned up the under- canopy. The only things left on the plant are the 16 colas that I've decided are at about the same height, and that i will grow to maturity. From here on out, there is no major pruning, just some "cleaning up" to do of any new baby colas that form or leaves that are growing under canopy. I also did a final training, and matched each remaining cola to it's own space in the trellis.

OK, been a little busy through the holidays but here are pics at day 66. Well into flowering now and THIS THING JUST WONT STOP GROWING. This isn't stretch, the internodal spacing is still tight, but it is just too happy. We are going to have to rethink how to grow in here. I threw this into flowering at 13 inches tall. Usually in stretch you can expect to about double plant size. We've well more than tripled it. At this point, every few days I'm lowering my top trellis to squish the plant down a few more inches and keep it out of the light. It is flowering well there, although I am probably squishing some buds pretty good!

Because you have to prune so aggressively in BLOOM I will probably get a great yield, but with a lot of smaller buds. Next grow I'm going to hack it back even more to fit it inside.

Any advice? I've turned the light intensity down to 90% to combat the curl on top, but it looks like it could take another 5% at least.

Harvested 3 weeks ago now. 6.5 ounces at 60 percent moisture! Not bad for a first grow and I learned a lot - I don’t think I’ll have a future grow under 8 ounces and want to push to a pound per grow. In dry Colorado, It took 6 days to cure to exactly the right level in Bloom when hanging the whole plant. It would take less if you cut it back and only hung the branches. Pics shows weight on a tared scale and the 2 plus half gallon jars of finished flower. Fiskars shears and spoon for size reference.

11.72 ounce harvest (dry weight at 60%)!!! Who will be the first to get to a pound? I’ve attached photos. On the truly bizarre, I now don’t have enough half gallon ball jars to store the harvest. I had to use a Rubbermaid bin!

Hi @ThePlantZaddy it is great to see some new faces here. Blooms must be shipping! Hello to @greenapple too.

I've had a Bloom for more than a year now and have grown a bunch. My biggest tips are 1) when in doubt, ask questions here (Bloom is different than anything else), 2) prune a lot, 3) if something seems wrong it just might be. It's Beta. Ask the CS folks, 4) enjoy the ride. It is an amazing machine and you won't believe how engaged you can get in watching somethign grow this fast.

      Have any pictures PlantZaddy?

Hey i have planted a lot of seeds so far and only had one not germinate (but I'm using very fresh seeds). Some companies are recommending you germinate in the paper towel method (but I think that's just so you don't blame the device). I've never tried transplanting a seedling like that into a peat pod.
