Very excited to see a little sprout on day 9! I'm growing Chinese 5 Color Peppers. I picked this variety for their heat and curb appeal. They're 30,000-50,000 Scoville Units and change colors as they ripen from purple, cream, yellow, orange, to red.

I'm throwing this out to the group for help. Anyone have any ideas on where to turn for new pumps? I need a new one for the mixing pump.

I checked on my grow this morning, and I noticed the time on the display said 4pm. I tried interacting with the control panel but I couldn't push any buttons - it was unresponsive no matter where I pushed.
I had to cycle boot the machine. This happened several times during my first grow and it really messed up my grow because it impacts the ability of the unit to follow the correct light schedule.
Is anyone working on getting this resolved? @BloomCS

Trying to test our posts
-
Hello I have decided id like to grow some fungi, mainly Enoki and Oyster. I would like to try and use the Bloom cabinet to provide the controlled environment. Is there a way to set parameters for humidity? The mushrooms need a more humid environment than what the bloom standard of 55%-65%.
Thanks for the wisdom,

Hello! I am trying to start a new grow, but am unable to download a recipe from the forum (trying to use the 'Autoflower Sativa' posted by Gr0w3r -- it shows as being downloaded on the unit but there is no recipe behind it). I've also tried entering the parameters from scratch and it does not save. Every recipe other than the sample recipes (I selected the 'Beefsteak Tomato recipe and that works) have a grow time of 0 (zero). System seems to be running fine. I reset/rebooted to no avail. Any ideas on next steps?

Hi from Chicago burbs... Looking forward to growing some great tomatoes.

Hello BLOOMers!
As I'm sure many of you have noticed, we are seeing some data issues between our BLOOMs and the cloud. This can impact recipe upload and download and limit what you can see from the APP, but should not impact the day to day running of your BLOOM garden.
Most of our BLOOM cloud development had been done with trusted long term partners in the Ukraine, Belarus and other countries now impacted by the crisis in the Ukraine. For security reasons, we ended relationships with contractors in those areas and are working hard to build expertise in safer zones. BLOOM is complex however, and so far we have not been able to move fast enough to keep all the wheels on all the time. We sincerely believe we will have this resolved soon, and thank you for your patience.
We are sorry for any frustration this downtime causes. We wanted to make sure you knew that we are aware of the issue, and let you know that we are working to get these issues resolved as soon as possible. If you have any other questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to reach out.

I can no longer connect to my Bloom from the IOS app. After logging in, I get the internet connection lost message in red at the top of the screen.
Also on the forum and the Bloom panel, I am unable to download recipes from the forum. repetitive loop back to the login screen despite being logged into the forum.
Anyone else having similar issues?

Dwarf sunflowers are GLOWING in my BLOOM! This is day 100, with florals opening about 10+ days ago. I plan on harvesting the blooms in a few weeks and putting out for the birds. 20220510_093734.jpeg

So this is the fourth attempt to grow some sweet Mary Jane. The first 3 times all ended tragically due to various kinks which have been worked out for the fourth attempt. Finally was able to track down an auto flower seed and used that grow recipe. I sent an email with an issue I'm having but it bounced back that the user has been deactivated. My worst nightmare after going through this with the Grobo!
@BloomCS are you still with us?
I cannot exit out of Edit Recipe on my control panel. I click every button possible, but it keeps saying fill in the missing information.

Chinese 5 Color Peppers

RE: Chinese 5 Color Peppers
These first two images were from 4days ago...

After a little pruning and picking some peppers (maybe prematurely picked, but still tasty) ... Pepe has exploded throughout the BLOOM. Pictures from today after his water change.
There are tons of flowers and the peppers just keep growing in. Every where I look, there’s a pepper!
Here’s a pic of some of our harvest from over the weekend. Some peppers were SO spicy, I had to run for the milk, whereas others were very mild and tasted like miniature bells. I’m definitely going to let them ripen longer before picking the next round, but overall I’m very happy with the taste and spice level. I see tons of homemade hot sauce in my future!

RE: 1 Week in -- Cannabis
@DJ Not seeing any signs of sex yet. Unfortunately, you may have to wait a little longer to tell as it is hard to determine during veg stage. Keep us all posted with new photos and hopefully we'll be able to tell sooner than later.

RE: Chinese 5 Color Peppers
@JT Says that it can grow up to 4 ft. tall. I am starting to see more and more stretching every day and it's beginning to see some flowers!
-
RE: Chinese 5 Color Peppers
Pepe actually seems to be coming back to life over the last few days. I did a major prune and really trimmed off most of the right side where we accidentally snapped a main branch. The left side is thriving again and I'm seeing a ton of little purple and yellow peppers throughout the plant!

RE: Chinese 5 Color Peppers
More peppers have come in over the last fews days and I'm starting to see a lot of new flowers as well. I've been more adamant about pollinating the flowers every day and it seems to be paying off. I typically just shake the branches a few times to "pollinate".
The peppers are also changing colors and growing larger. Apparently they get spicier as a they change colors, so I'm definitely going to make some hot sauce to be able to "control" the heat.
Has anybody made their own hot sauce before? I'd love to get some tips on how to do it!

Lilac Bell Peppers
Started some Lilac Bell Peppers from seed about 10 days ago and 2 little seeds finally sprouted!
Going to let the bigger one get a little stronger before snipping the smaller one. Excited to see how this plant does for Grow #2 in my BLOOM!

OJ Kush Recipe
Hey Bloomer's! Helping @DaiSugi-2 out with a recipe for an OJ Kush Hybrid from a live plant.
You can use the same recipe from @HenHennesy's grow, without the need to input the Germination Stage.
Additionally, I would suggest changing the "Veg" stage to only 10 days. @Gr0w3r @HenHennesy @I_like_plants, does that match up with your experience so far?

RE: Chinese 5 Color Peppers
They only grow to about an inch (cone shaped) and apparently get hotter with each color change. Very intrigued by these!

RE: Chinese 5 Color Peppers
Video: Deciding which one of the two seedlings to keep...
Clipped one out, not too tough of a decision because I think they both would have flourished. Debating whether or not to move to stage 3 tomorrow, which will bump my PPM up to 800.

RE: Slazerbeam - 1st Sativa Grow
Results are in! After drying in the BLOOM for about 6 days and curing in the jars for about 5... I weighed out 9.6 ounces!! We also saved the trim and some of the smallest nugs so that we can make hash down the line, so that is not included in the weight. Not wasting anything and it's smelling pretty awesome! Very happy with how this turned out and to be able to grow so much in only 3 months time is incredible.
Before drying in the BLOOM, me and a few friends did a wet trim. There was a lot to trim, so i'd recommend recruiting some help :)
You can use the trellis to hang the branches on but this time I just attached some string to the provided suction cup hooks and used hangers.

@the-green-thumb Nice job pruning and training!

RE: Animal Cookies ~ another grow another gallon!
@omacoder the carbon filters do a pretty good job hiding the odor, but I happen to have an external carbon filter that I use as well.

Slazerbeam - 1st Sativa Grow
Well, thought I'd try to grow a Sativa-dominant hybrid in the bloom. Since sativa's are usually taller and more scraggly than indica's... I thought this might be a bit of a challenge. Thankfully, I did some reading on the forum and got some great help.
This strain is called Slazerbeam and I started from a feminized seed. It's a cross between Super Lemon Haze and Gupta Kush.
I'm skipping to the good picture first, then I'll go back in time and share some of my tricks that helped this strain thrive in the bloom:
Today 11/30: Been flushing for 4 days now. Trichomes were still a little white, but I figured the middle of the plant was ready. If 60% or so of the plant is showing milky trichomes, then it's time to flush. Best to have a microscope on hand to check these or a really good camera.
11/17:
11/5 and 11/4: The one really tall branch was getting close, so I eventually took a suction cup and string to pull the branch down lightly towards the side. Doing this would avoid burning the top of the cola on the top lights.
Buds were beginning to fill in nicely and I was able to prune a few of the bigger fan leaves to make trimming a little easier later on.
10/27:
10/19 Before Pruning:
10/19 After Pruning. The fan leaves were HUGE! So it's important to prune them often. This will allow light to penetrate the rest of the plant and allow the plant to take in nutrients where it really matters - the bud sites:
10/13 Before pruning:
10/13 After Pruning and training:
I gently pulled some of the branches through various spots inside and outside of the trellis.
10/2: This was a big day! Plant was starting to shoot out pistols, which tells me it was definitely a female.
I also flipped it to flower a few days after the pruning.
Before pruning:
After Pruning & Training. The training might seem aggressive, but it worked out! Bending the plants spreads the branches out and allows each of the branches to get more light. I wanted to make the most out of the space in the bloom and this would allow more surface area for buds to develop later on.
9/24 Last couple days in veg stage. Still loving those huge fan leaves, but they had to go:
9/17 First Topping! You want 4-5 nodes before topping. The inner nodal spacing in the bloom tends to be shorter, which is great news for keeping your plants an appropriate size:

Looks like you picked a good one! Can't wait to see how she does

RE: Humidity in drying stage
Hi @pdxbloom. Relative humidity in your area could slow down the rate of drying. To combat this, you can try to increase the temperature a few degrees. This should kick on the exhaust fans more often to begin to pull some of the humidity out.
It's pretty dry in my area so would love to know how this goes!

RE: Lemon Creamsicle
@growguy That's some pretty good advice. I let mine get too tall before switching to flower and it's getting prettty close to the lights. I'm excited to see how this does since you're switching much earlier than I did. Going to keep following your posts!
Thanks for the tips

@gr0w3r Looks tasty, I can see some nice big buds in that jar! Impressive!

RE: Plant health
@pdxbloom Looking nice and milky, I would wait another few days before flushing as well.
