    • Need new pump - where to get one?

      D

I'm throwing this out to the group for help. Anyone have any ideas on where to turn for new pumps? I need a new one for the mixing pump.

    • Control panel froze, lights stayed on all night

      O

I checked on my grow this morning, and I noticed the time on the display said 4pm. I tried interacting with the control panel but I couldn't push any buttons - it was unresponsive no matter where I pushed.

I had to cycle boot the machine. This happened several times during my first grow and it really messed up my grow because it impacts the ability of the unit to follow the correct light schedule.

Is anyone working on getting this resolved? @BloomCS

Hello I have decided id like to grow some fungi, mainly Enoki and Oyster. I would like to try and use the Bloom cabinet to provide the controlled environment. Is there a way to set parameters for humidity? The mushrooms need a more humid environment than what the bloom standard of 55%-65%.

    • All recipes showing a length of grow = 0

      D

Hello! I am trying to start a new grow, but am unable to download a recipe from the forum (trying to use the 'Autoflower Sativa' posted by Gr0w3r -- it shows as being downloaded on the unit but there is no recipe behind it). I've also tried entering the parameters from scratch and it does not save. Every recipe other than the sample recipes (I selected the 'Beefsteak Tomato recipe and that works) have a grow time of 0 (zero). System seems to be running fine. I reset/rebooted to no avail. Any ideas on next steps?

      B

      Hello BLOOMers!

As I'm sure many of you have noticed, we are seeing some data issues between our BLOOMs and the cloud. This can impact recipe upload and download and limit what you can see from the APP, but should not impact the day to day running of your BLOOM garden.

Most of our BLOOM cloud development had been done with trusted long term partners in the Ukraine, Belarus and other countries now impacted by the crisis in the Ukraine. For security reasons, we ended relationships with contractors in those areas and are working hard to build expertise in safer zones. BLOOM is complex however, and so far we have not been able to move fast enough to keep all the wheels on all the time. We sincerely believe we will have this resolved soon, and thank you for your patience.

We are sorry for any frustration this downtime causes. We wanted to make sure you knew that we are aware of the issue, and let you know that we are working to get these issues resolved as soon as possible. If you have any other questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to reach out.

    • Bloom Buddies!

Hello Bloom family! My name is Stina and I'm very excited to get started and see what everyone is growing!

We got our Bloom a couple of weeks ago and I've been working on pre-sprouting some anemone and ranunculus corms! We decided to do flowers for our first round so we get to test out the 6 grow pod setup! Super excited to have fresh cut flowers while the ground outside is still frozen. I'm an avid home gardener and currently an intern at a flower farm, really excited to try my hand at hydroponics!

      image0.jpeg
Here are the corms before you soak them! The octopus looking one is the ranunculus and the acorn one is an anemone.

      image2.jpeg
They need to be soaked in room temperature water for 3-4 hours.

      image3.jpeg
      After soaking.

      image4.jpeg
Normally you would use a seed tray but since I'm only pre-sprouting 8 corms, I used a loaf dish! haha

Now they're hanging out in our fridge which sits right above 40 degrees for 10-14 days. Once they're pre-sprouted they'll be transplanted into the grow baskets with clay balls. Next time I check in on them I'll snap a picture and share.

@BloomCS - we’re going to keep them in the bloom through the flowering stage! So no more transplanting!

I believe we’ve got our first anemone getting ready to pop up and say hello!

    • RE: Bloomin' flowers

@JT - I've consulted with some local flower farmers over the past couple of days and they're recommending to move them into the Bloom since it's been more than 2 weeks that I've been trying to get them to presprout, we don't want to have a mold situation on our hands. I think your plan with the lights is perfect, we'll dim them way down until they germinate and then bump it up just a little bit for the whole grow. When you've got the recipe ready let me know and I'll get them moved in!

Thanks for all the help on this!

@Gr0w3r they love a cooler environment so they’re very happy in the bloom! Once it gets too warm for them when they’re outside, they stop producing and die. Normally they’ll bloom for 6-7 weeks so interested to see how long they go for in the bloom!
